Grey Shaker Cabinets
Grey shaker is what clients pick when white feels too plain and a color feels too risky. Ours is a mid-tone grey deliberately kept between warm and cool, so it does not fight the warm-wood floors or the cooler quartz that turn up on most jobs. It is the single most useful door in our catalog for two-tone kitchens.

Drawer: 5/8" thick cabinet grade plywood sides with full extension, under-mounted, soft-close, steel concealed drawer glides
Drawer Box: Dovetail drawers with 1/2" thick solid wood sides, removable for easy cleaning
Interior: Natural clear coat finish, 1/2" thick stretchers applied to back of cabinets
Box: 1/2" thick cabinet grade plywood with metal L bracket reinforcements for base cabinets
Hardware: 6-way adjustable 1 1/4" hinge with soft closing insert Shelf: Adjustable 3/4" thick cabinet grade plywood, metal shelf rests

Where Grey Shaker Works Best
The classic move is grey bases with white uppers. It grounds the room, keeps the eye level bright, and gives a standard kitchen some depth without anyone having to commit to a real color. Grey is also the practical choice for a busy household — scuffs, splashes and daily wear simply do not show the way they do on a full white run.
It works equally well as a full-kitchen finish in homes with a lot of natural light, and on islands where the perimeter is white.
